However difficult the material is to understand, he still only requires three take home exams that he assigns a week in advance; therefore, the chance to get a decent grade is pretty high. Professor Platt is a great guy, but he often goes to in-depth into proofs and why things work and we don't have time to go over examples in class. This leaves us struggling to do homework which takes 2-4 hours EVERY day, even some weekends. He does curve the tests though, so if you're willing to endure that much homework you can get a good grade.
